Oh, The Ordeal of Being Known...
My name is Le Chien de Pain, but people often just call me Chien. I am an adult woman (she/her and he/him pronouns) from Southeast Asia, location classified, and I am 26 years old. I work as an assistant cake decorator during the day, but at night it's anyone's guess whatever it is I'm doing.I like to draw, it keeps me alive and makes me feel likewise. I also like playing guitar and I was at a point good enough that I played in church for a few years or so, but I've since retired so I could focus on my career (and also my hearing is slowly worsening.) My memory isn't very good either, but that's mainly what my art hobbies are for-- Besides making spare money. I also really like cooking (not very good at it tbh), creative writing, and video games!Interests include: Pokemon (Especially fangames), Sky: Children of the Light, Monster Hunter, Dandadan, One Piece, early Final Fantasy, Music analysis, etc.
Commission | Terms of Service
I am willing to draw: NSFW, furry, fanart, original art, character designs, icons, emoji sets, character sheets, OCs, one-page comics.
I refuse to draw: Certain kinks (do discuss first), NSFW if you're a minor, religious imagery, hate symbols, gore, overly complex backgrounds, themes pertaining to current world events, suggestive art of minors and proship topics.
Due to my dayjob, health, and any other commissions that I may be handling, commission turnout may wildly vary. I will do my best to keep the commission turnout within 3-4 weeks, but I will communicate extensions as needed.
I do two types of commissions: Personal (I.e. emotes for Discord servers and streaming platforms, references for personal characters, icons for social media, thumbnails/artwork for videos, generally non-monetized media) and Commercial (Artwork intended for merchandise, non-indie monetized projects, book covers, and prints), in which commissioning a commercial piece increases the price by %50.
I use Paypal for my commissions and I require up front payment with an invoice before I start on the commission.
I have the right to refuse or cancel a commission under certain, or unforeseeable conditions. Refund requests are prohibited, though I will refund if I find myself unable to finish the commission in any way.
I will require means of regular contact with you. Most easily accessible is my social media (refer to my social media page)
Tokenizing my artwork for NFTs and using my artwork to train AI models (i.e. replicating my art style using AI image generation, etc.) is strictly prohibited and will result in you being banned from future commissions, and a public warning with your (user)name will be posted so others will know who to watch out for.
Major revisions to commissioned pieces are capped at 3 revisions in the sketch phase, but minor revisions such as details are unlimited. Once sketch is approved, major revisions (i.e. additional characters, change of pose, adding background, etc.) are charged.
Lineart | Sketch
Price: $20-25
Style is reminiscent of comics, already shaded via hatching or imitation of pencil shading; Largely colorless, but will occasionally sport colored lines depending on the piece (i.e. as exampled above), simple background unless discussed otherwise.
Flat Colors
Price: $25-30
Simplified lineart to better show the colors of the piece, no shading from the lines, colors are either colorpicked from reference or discussed before and/or during work process, simple background unless discussed otherwise.
Shaded
Price: $35
Monochrome/colorless, simplified lineart to better show the painted shading and highlights, may require specifications on lighting conditions, simple background unless discussed otherwise.
Full Render
Price: $50-60
Fully completed artwork featuring techniques of the previous commission types, employs the use of my more sophisticated tools, simple background unless discussed otherwise.
Additional Fees & Info!
All prices are calculated, in accordance to Paypal's fees.
Adding Extra Characters: $10-15, depending on the characters' design complexity.
Adding Background: $15-20, depending on complexity.
Commission prices may vary from displayed prices, due to complexity, additional details, working time, and deadline.
I reserve the right to post completed artworks on my social media, protected by Glaze and Nightshade. Clients may receive the HD, unprotected artworks, but posting them is prohibited.
Icons, emojis, badges, and transparent artwork will be unprotected by Glaze and Nightshade, until a future build enables the preservation of transparency. Also, they won't be posted on my socials to protect from scrapping and theft.
